170m Credit Cards Issued in China During Q1 of 2010

China issued 170 million credit cards during the first quarter of 2010, up 26% from a year earlier, the China Banking Regulatory Commission said Friday. The value of credit card transactions surged 59% year-on-year to ¥57 trillion ($1 = ¥6.8) over the period.
