$200b invested in Western China by eastern firms
More than 200,000 companies in eastern China have invested a total of US$203.49 billion (RMB1.5 trillion) in western China up to last week, the China Securities Journal
reported. No other details were given, but the Chinese government is actively encouraging investment in the country’s interior as part of the current five year plan.
