51job.com Posts 1.1m Positions in January; 13% Related to IT

China's top online human resource service provider, 51job Inc (NASDAQ: JOBS), published 1.1 million jobs online in January, 110,00o more than the previous month. The positions related to information technology added up to 142,709, up 2% from the end of 2009. Shanghai-based IT jobs totaled 33,172, followed by 28,611 in Beijing, 15,051 in Shenzhen, 11,330 in Guangzhou, and 8,122 in Hangzhou. Program writers were the most sought after last month as 22% of all IT positions wanted such professionals. A 51job survey found 85% of IT respondents planned to change their job in 2010.
