China’s trade in agricultural products grew 23% year-on-year to US$78.1 billion in 2007, the China Securities Journal reported. Exports were worth US$37 billion, up 17.8% year-on-year, and imports were worth US$40.1 billion, up 28.1% year-on-year. The agricultural trade deficit was worth US$4.08 billion, 5.1 times that of 2006.
