The agreement is part of the commercialization plan for the Hong Kong based company, with the goal to provide products and services to address China's critical water problems. The first product in this strategy is Assure Control's "QwikLite(TM)200 Testing System," an instrument that uses technology invented by the United States Navy research laboratory, utilizing bioluminescent marine phytoplankton as the method of determining toxic levels in water and sediments. AWSC is a Hong Kong based environmental products and services company focused on clean water strategies and solutions for the greater China market.
