Central bank figures show banks in China extended 787 billion yuan in Renminbi-denominated loans in September, taking the outstanding Renminbi loans to 74.99 trillion yuan at the end of September 2013. The amount of Renminbi loans, which beat expectations, increased by 76 billion yuan from a month earlier and increased by 164.4 billion yuan from a year earlier. Renminbi deposits increased by 1.63 trillion yuan in September, taking the deposit balance to 103.09 trillion yuan at the end of September 2013.
