Bank of China seeks insurance partners
Bank of China is seeking local and foreign partners to help it build its insurance business, Reuters reported.
Reuters quoted Executive Assistant President Zhu Min as saying that Bank of China wants to build its Shanghai-based insurance subsidiary, taking advantage of the reach of its 11,000-plus branch network.
Chinese insurers saw total premiums grow by 13.3 percent in the first seven months of this year, to 342 billion yuan (43 billion US dollars).
