Big losses for Beijing Bus
Beijing Bus announced losses amounting to more 136 million yuan in 2005, the Beijing Times reports. The losses, the first for the company after a run of several profitable years, came off of operating revenues of 2.38 billion yuan and additional government subsidies in the amount of 145 million yuan. According to the company, the losses last year were due to an increase in base costs, especially on repairs; the company's fleet underwent an overhaul of its air conditioners and incurred large repair costs. Prices remained unchanged. The company's administrative fees also increased 50 million yuan over 2004, to 312 million, and various external investments also performed poorly.Beijing Bus: 600386.SHLink: http://bjt.net.cn/news.asp?newsid=139680
