	Bohai Bay oil discovery bigger than thought By STAFF EDITOR Published: August 17, 2007 05:48 PM PetroChina confirmed its recently discovered oil and gas field in northern China’s Bohai Bay carried more reserves than previously expected, the official Xinhua news agency reported. According to a Ministry of Land and Resources assessment, the Jidong Nanpu Oilfield has combined proven, probable and possible reserves of as much as 1.18 billion tons of oil equivalent.
