Cadbury imports halted
Imports of Cadbury chocolate eggs have been stopped following a recall in Canada, China Business News reports. A source with the president's office at Cadbury China said that neither it nor its authorized distributors in China had come across any problems, and that the Cadbury chocolate it sells in the country is produced domestically. However, other candy sellers deal in imported Cadbury chocolates. The State Quality Supervision Administration has blocked both hand-carried and mailed imports of Cadbury chocolate as well. The recall is due to problems on the production line that resulted in plastic fragments from a shattered mould entering Cadbury eggs, posing a risk to consumers' mouths. The Cadbury representative said that the ban won't hurt the company's sales in China, since any imported products were brought in privately.Link: http://dycj.ynet.com/article.jsp?oid=8034446
