China Unicom Gets 100,000 New iPhone Orders
China Unicom Ltd (NYSE: CHU, HKG: 0762, SHA: 600050) has received more than 100,000 orders for the iPhone 5s and 5c, the company said on Sina Weibo, China's twitter-like microblogging service, without giving more details. China Unicom is Apple Inc's (Nasdaq: AAPL) first authorized wireless carrier in China to sell the iPhone series. The iPhone 5 sold over 2 million units in the first 3 days of launch in China in December 2012.

Alibaba Partners with Minsheng Bank for Online Finance
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, China's top e-commerce firm, signed a deal with China Minsheng Banking Corp (SHA: 600016, HKG: 1988) to form strategic partnership as Alibaba reaches its tentacle to the financial market. Minsheng Bank will help Alibaba provide financial services to online shoppers, such as wealth management products. Alibaba will set up a section on its Taobao.com, where Minsheng Bank can offer direct banking services to online shoppers. Taobao is the most popular C2C site in China.
