The heavy dependence on imports of China's demand for polysilicon will continue in 2010, magazine China Entrepreneur reported, citing predictions made by domestic polysilicon makers. The nation produced 15,000 metric tons of the material in 2009, failing to meet even half of its 40,000-ton demand. The output is estimated to reach 35,000 tons this year, and imports are expected to hit 30,000 tons.
