China's SNS gaming revenue will be worth ¥1.63 billion ($1 = ¥6.7) and will have attracted 130 million registered users including 17 million active users by 2012, predicted Analysys International. The nation had 190 million SNS users by June 2010 and is expected to have 85 million registered accounts for SNS games by the end of 2010, according to Analysys International. The biggest problem for China's SNS gaming industry is how customers are convinced to pay for the games; only 5% of active SNS game players were willing to pay on a regular basis in 2009, noted Analysys International. More than half of China's 1.4 billion population are expected to have access to the Internet and the nation's spending on Internet activities are projected to hit ¥2 trillion by 2013, according to a report released earlier this week by the Data Center of China Internet.
