China accelerates new-energy auto development

National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has recently completed its public consultation on the regulations over new energy-automotive production threshold. While this set of regulations encourage corporate efforts to research, develop and produce new-energy vehicles, it also lay strict entry threshold for such production. Industry analysts said this shows regulatory’s intention to direct industry discipline and development by standardizing production and raising entrance threshold, Economic Information Daily reported.
