January 18 – China's retail sales will grow 18% to break the ¥15 trillion threshold in 2010, predicted commerce ministry spokesman Yao Jian. The 3,000 major retailers tracked by the ministry reported a 19% increase in sales in December, 0.4 percentage points faster than a month earlier, according to Yao.
