China Telecom Said to Plan 2.5m iPhone 4S Sales in 2012
China Telecom Corp (NYSE: CHA, HKG: 0728) plans to sell 2.5 million iPhone 4S in 2012 and the offers will likely fall short of demand, a well-informed person known as Guo Wen said. China Telecom said last week that it will start selling Apple Inc's (NASDAQ: APPL) flagship smartphone March 9.
Spreadtrum Licenses CEVA-XC DSP
CEVA Inc (NASDAQ: CEVA), a leading licensor of silicon intellectual property platform solutions and DSP cores, said Spreadtrum Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: SPRD), a Chinese fabless semiconductor provider, has licensed the CEVA-XC DSP processor for its LTE baseband processor designs. This latest agreement will extend the their long-term strategic partnership, which spans a broad range of 2G, 3G and 4G wireless communication standards.
Poly to Invest 30% in Commercial Real Estate
Poly Real Estate Group Co (SHA: 600048), China's second largest property developer by market value, plans to increase its investment in commercial real estate as a percentage of total investment to 30% against 70% in the residential segment market, chairman Liu Xiang said, without revealing the current rate.
