November 1 - Shanghai Electric Group Co (SHA: 601727, HKG: 2727) has put up for sale a 61.35% stake in its Shanghai Topsolar Green Energy Co which has been embroiled in legal suits over its faulty products.

October 29 – China saw 49 mining-linked mergers and acquisitions valued at $8.9 billion in the 9 months through September 2010, up 108% and 53% year on year respectively.

October 28 – French drug maker Sanofi-Aventis SA has paid $520.6 million taking over BMP Sunstone Corp (NASDAQ: BJGP), a Beijing-based OTC drug maker for children and women. It is the largest ever acquisition in China's pharmaceutical industry.

October 28 – Blue Star Cleaning Co (SHE: 000598), a Beijing-based industrial detergents producer, has planned to make a takeover bid for Elkem, a Norwegian metal and silicon supplier. The deal was estimated to cost $1 billion.
