China M&A Wrap for the Week Ended 11/22/2010

November 22 – Maoye International Holdings Ltd (HKG: 0848), a Shenzhen-based department stores operator, has paid ¥406 million ($1 = ¥6.6) for an 80% stake in Shandong Zibo Dongtai Department Store which runs 3 department stores, a leasehold mall and over 40 supermarket chains.

November 22 – China Vanadium Titano-Magnetite Co (HKG: 0893) has paid ¥174 million acquiring Aba Mining Co which is capable of producing 150,000 tons of iron concentrate and 300,000 tons of regular iron ore a year.

November 18 – Stora Enso, a leading Finnish papermaker, said it will pay ¥368 million for a 51% stake in Inpac International Group, a Hebei province-based packaging company that supplies wrapping paper to Motorola, Samsung, Nokia and NEC.

November 16 – The East China Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau was rumored to have acquired a 51% stake in Australian mining company GBE for ¥267 million. GBE's assets are principally African rare earths and radioactive elements.

November 15 – Alibaba Group (HKG: 1688) has acquired Onetouch, a Shenzhen-based company that provides export services to small- and midsized electronics makers. No financial details were disclosed.
