	China rare earth output down but revenues up By STAFF EDITOR Published: March 28, 2008 03:56 PM China’s production of so-called rare earth materials dropped 8.83% to 120,800 tons last year although the value of industrial output from the rare earth sector climbed 50.79% to US$4.10 billion (RMB28.76 billion), the China Securities Journal reported, citing National Development and Reform Commission figures.
