October 18 – Overall property sales in Shanghai totaled more than 15 million m2 in the 9 months through September 2010, down 39.8% year on year, according to the local statistics bureau. Home sales dipped 44% to 12.5 million m2 over the period.

October 15 – Home prices in the 70 largest cities grew 9.1% in September 2010 compared to a year ago, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The rate was 0.2 percentage points slower than in August.
