China to build 2 nuclear plants in Shandong province
China plans to build two nuclear power plants in Weihai of Shandong province, Forbes reported, citing official. 'The projects have been reported to the state council, and are waiting for final approval,' said Forbes, quoting Ma Shihe, deputy mayor of Weihai as saying. Earlier reports said China will begin building a revolutionary 'pebble-bed' nuclear reactor in Weihai with the aim of making the technology commercially viable by 2020.
