China to Consume 300b m3 of Natural Gas by 2020

China's consumption of natural gas has expanded an annualized 16% since 2000 to 88.7 billion cubic meters last year, PetroChina president Zhou Jiping told an international industry meeting Tuesday. He estimated that China would use up to 300 billion m3 by 2020 when natural gas would represent 10% of the nation's energy makeup, up from 4% currently.
