China Water Affairs in new venture with state firm

China Water Affairs Group, a water supplier and sewage treatment services provider, will invest 75 million yuan in cash into a joint venture with state-owned China Water Investment Corp, The Standard reported. The venture company will be involved in urban supply services, investing, and will also develop and manage water-related environmental projects, said the paper. China Water Affairs will hold a 50 percent equity interest in the joint- venture company. Listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange since 1999, the company operates water supply companies mainly in urban areas in Guangdong, Henan and Jiangxi.
