Chongqing Chang’an Automobile (000625.SZ) said its first-half net profit grew 3.68% year-on-year to US$65.79 million (RMB450.19 million) on US$1.15 billion (RMB7.88 billion) in turnover, up 9.21% on a year earlier, the Shanghai Securities News reported. The car maker manufactured 600,266 vehicles and sold 588,522 vehicles in the first nine months of the year. It also sold 60,872 vehicles in September and produced 56,776.  The newspaper did not report comparative figures. Jiangling Motors (000550.SZ) said it posted US$77.65 million (RMB531.36 million) in net profit, up 32.32% on a year earlier, from US$669.30 million (RMB4.58 billion) in turnover, up 13.39% on a year earlier. It sold 75,496 vehicles in the first nine months of the year and manufactured 77,345. It sold 7,268 vehicles in September and manufactured 9,665 vehicles.
