According to the annual report of its French parent PSA, Chinese automaker Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen lost 360 million yuan in 2005, China Business News reports. The losses, though sizeable, were 60% less than the 985 million the company bled in 2004, and met company goals of keeping losses under 400 million.Performance was up in 2005; the company sold 141,000 vehicles last year, up 57% from 2004. Unfortunately for profit concerns, the sales of 40,000 Peugeot 307 cars were affected by price wars and did not contribute much to the company's bottom line. According to CBN, DPCA's losses occurred in the first half of 2005, while the company started to turn a profit in the third quarter.Link: http://dycj.ynet.com/article.jsp?oid=7676407
