FOXCONN invest 1 billion in Jiangsu project
Foxconn Technology Group is to invest at least 1 billion US dollars in Huaian economic development zone in Jiangsu province, The Standard reported.
Foxconn will invest in the electronic category in the zone and it will spend five years building a Foxconn (Huaian) industrial city there, it said.
Huaian government officials have voiced support for the investments, while Foxconn head Terry Gou said he has confidence in the investment environment there.
Foxconn is also known as the Hon Hai group, which includes flagship company Taiwan-listed Hon Hai Precision Industry Co and Hong Kong-listed Foxconn International Holdings, among others.
