	Gold output grows 12.67%, China is world’s second largest producer By STAFF EDITOR Published: January 29, 2008 12:00 PM China’s gold output rose 12.67% to 270.49 tons last year, making the country the world’s second largest producer after South Africa, which rolled out 272 tons, the China Securities Journal reported, citing China Gold Association figures.
