Huaneng Power to Produce More Clean Energy

Huaneng Power International Inc (NYSE: HNP, SHA: 600011, HKG: 0902), China's largest listed power producer, will install three million kW of new energy-powered capacity in 2010, a senior engineer said Wednesday. Its two solar power plants in southern China's Yunnan province will be capable of 166 MW next year, the highest of its kind across the nation. Huaneng's electricity generation capacity exceeded 80 million kW in 2008.
