Japan declares Chinese food imports 99.42% safe

China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said a Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare report released July 20 ruled 99.42% of food imports from China in 2006 were safe, the China Daily reported.
