Juicy Couture partners with Lane Crawford to expand into Mainland luxury market
Juicy Couture today announced an agreement with the Lane Crawford Joyce Group for exclusive distribution rights to the Juicy Couture brand in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The Lane Crawford Joyce Group is Asia's premiere international brand group, representing luxury and fashion brands through a network of distribution, retailing and franchising. The partnership is effective immediately.
The Lane Crawford Joyce Group will work closely with Juicy Couture to strategically position and expand the brand's presence in the region. Over the first four years of the agreement, 24 Juicy Couture free-standing retail stores will be opened, along with 23 shop-in-shops, with the majority of the presence focused in Greater China.
Trudy Sullivan, president of Liz Claiborne Inc., added: "International expansion is a key element of our growth plan for Liz Claiborne Inc., and moving into China/Asia is an important component. The Lane Crawford Joyce Group was one of the first firms to enter the China market in 1992 and has a long history working with luxury brands in the region.”
