JVC plans to double China sales three times between now and 2008, reports China Business Daily. Currently, sales to the China market make up just 1% of JVC's worldwide sales; it placed behind Sanyo in the Chinese audio sector and behind Panasonic in home theater in 2004, according to data provided by GFK. Shibasaki Hirohito, head of JVC (China) Investment's planning office, said that the company will diversify its offerings based on its exclusive technology, including hard-disk-based DV cameras, wood cone speakers, and especially LCoS televisions. JVC plans to sell 300 million yuan (US$37 million) worth of televisions in China next year, and the vast majority will be LCoS. Link: http://dycj.ynet.com/article.jsp?oid=6873642
