Currently just 80 million units are owned in China, so there should be ample room for growth. After a height of 20 million units sold in 2003, the market stagnated in 2004, and actually contracted in 2005. Sales fell 7.8% last year, as scares over toxicity and a host of other problems plagued manufacturers.
