Leather exports reach $11.68b

Exports of leather products were up 9.1% year-on-year to US$11.68 billion in the first half of the year while imports were up 12.2% to US$3.45 billion, the Shanghai Daily reported, citing the China Leather Industry Association and the organizer of an upcoming leather fair in Shanghai. The China Leather Exhibition and China International Footwear Fair will kick off on September 5 at Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong district,. More than 1,300 domestic exhibitors will display leather products at the three-day show.
