Li Ning signs with ATP

Chinese athletic brand Li Ning has signed an exclusive deal with the ATP to be the tennis tour's official marketing partner in China, China Business News reports. This is the second move for Li Ning to increase its international brand awareness following the signing of NBA player Damon Stoudamire to an endorsement deal in January. The ATP deal will last for seven years. Li Ning plans to become a major international brand by 2018, and is especially looking to the international market after 2008. It currently spends 13%-15% of its revenue on marketing, and will increase that amount to 14%-16% in 2007 in preparation for the Olympics. Link: http://dycj.ynet.com/article.jsp?oid=8083990
