M&A likely in tobacco sector
China's tobacco industry is headed for a period of mergers and acquisitions as competition in the global market becomes stiffer, Li Baojiang, deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, told a tobacco forum organized by Yunnan Hongta Group, China's largest tobacco maker.
