China’s securities regulator said it will organize an approval panel for mergers and acquisitions involving listed companies in an effort to improve corporate transparency, the Shanghai Securities News
reported. Five members of the 25-person panel will review and vote on each proposal, the China Securities Regulatory Commission said on its website Tuesday. The regulator set guidelines for the panel without giving a date for its formation. Five panel members will be from the securities commission and the remaining experts in mergers and acquisitions will be experienced in corporate finance and relevant sectors.
