68% of companies in China will keep their scheduled training programs in place or even commit more funds to them and only 32% will cut back, a survey of over 4,000 HR managers and trainers across the mainland by 51job.com (NASDAQ: JOBS) has shown. The survey, however, also found just 24% of respondent companies thought the training courses worked as expected and 42% preferred picking up staff with good track records to train others and 12% would hire professional consultancies or senior managers of well-known multinationals. Separately, another report recently released by 51job said all industries in China had an average 23.1% staff turnover ratio in 2008. It was 0.8 percentage points higher than the year earlier.
