China's domestically branded digital camera arena is about to take off. While many current brands bear the mark "Made in China" on their cameras, to date there have been no national brands of note.   Aigo, a domestic MP3 maker, launched its digital cameras on the 27 of June, in what China Business Information
calls "a series of nationally branded digital cameras researched and
developed by Chinese, designed by Chinese, and manufactured by
Chinese." Zhang Dong, manager of Aigo's digital camera division
declares: "This is the start of an era of high-quality, decently priced
Chinese digital cameras. Chinese people are finally able to take pride
in using top-flight digital cameras made by Chinese themselves!"   A week later, on 2 August, the computer peripheral manufacturer BenQ
