New fund approvals suspended

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has suspended approvals for new fund products, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. The halt on new funds comes as the securities regulator moves to cool capital inflows into the booming stock markets, which hit a record high 5,500 points Tuesday.
