New plans on Tianjin Benhai development

Tianjin Mayor, Dai Xiang Long, stated that necessary reforms and 10 specials plans are drafted for the development of Binhai New District in Tianjin, writes Xinhua Net.   Benhai New District is located on the east coast, composed of Tianjin port, development zones and 3 administrative zones of Tanggu, Hangu, Dagang.   Dai said that 6 new services functions will be strengthened, namely international trade and transport, customs, modern logistics, industrial innovation and productivity, regional finance as well as leisure tourism.   He emphasized that a northern international transport centre and international logistics centre need to be constructed to maximize the geographical advantage of Binhai in order to turn the area into one of the fastest developing economic region in North China.   Tianjin has accelerated the construction and coordination of railways, expressways and harbour facilities to support the new development plan.
