Nokia won a major contract from Hunan Mobile Communications

Nokia has won a GSM core network contract with Hunan Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. (Hunan MCC) in China, said the company in a statement.   Under the agreement, Nokia supplies its MSC Server mobile softswitch for 4 cities in Hunan Province, located in the central part of China. Nokia also provides a full range of services including network integration, commissioning and training. The system has been deployed and is already operational.   The deal can strengthen Nokia’s position in GSM infrastructure and mobile softswitching system deployments in the country. Hunan MCC is a new network infrastructure customer for Nokia, said the statement.
