Noodle branch investigated for price fixing
The Chinese branch of an international noodle makers association may be banned as an illegal organization after being accused of price-fixing, the Beijing News reported. Hao Jiguang, a lawyer from Hebei Province, has appealed to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to investigate whether the Chinese subsidiary of the International Ramen Manufacturers Association (IRMA) has illegally manipulated prices following recent price hikes in one the nation’s most popular fast foods.
