Plexus to double size of China plant

Plexus announced on July 18 that it will build a 3-storey office building and double the size of its plant located in Xiamen, China.   Mr. YJ Lim, Plexus' Vice President of Asia Operations, stated that the expansion can meet the anticipating needs of both local and global customers.   “Our Xiamen facility has consistently demonstrated its ability to meet our customers' requirements for quality and on-time delivery in the Medical, Industrial/Commercial and Wireline/Networking sectors,” he added.   The company’s additional production facility of approximately 60000 sq. feet will bring Plexus' manufacturing capacity in the Xiamen Xiangyu Free Trade Zone in China to 120000 sq. feet from its present 60000 sq. feet.
