Recruit in joint venture with Netease to launch online recruitment portal
Hong Kong-listed recruitment advertising group, Recruit Holdings Ltd, is going to cooperate with Netease, one of the three most popular portals in China, to launch the first job-seeking portal,1010job.com in October. The new portal is considered to be well positioned to transform the existing recruitment advertising market in China. The new portal will try to explore a Type 3 business model, which is completely different from either of the two existing models in the market. 1010job.com will be a job seeker center portal that providesall jobseeking related information via various tools, including search engine and web 2.0 features. According to Regan Su, CEO of 1010job.com, the core features of the new model include the largest pool of valid job posts, the largest interactive recruitment BBS, the largest database of company reviews, the most relevant recruitment information and so on. 2006 is seen as being a landmark year for foreign investments coming into China. Following Monster's of a major stake in ChinaHR, Japan Recruit, Japan's largest recruitment service provider became a significant shareholder of 51job. Enjapan, the second largest online recruitment website in Japan announced it had agreed to cooperate with 800HR, a segmental recruitment website in Beijing.
