Shanda, Motorola to bring games to phones
Shanda and Motorola will cooperate, perhaps forming a joint venture, to bring Shanda's World of Legend and Magical Land to mobile phone gaming platforms, The Beijing News reports. A Shanda subsidiary, Digital-Red Mobile Software, has produced games for Motorola and Nokia mobile phones prior to this. A source within Motorola said that the it was a done deal for the two companies to cooperate, but that it was not yet time to announce in publicly. The source would not confirm reports of a joint venture or dual-branded handsets. A Shanda spokesperson disavowed knowledge of the rumors, but said that if Shanda were to enter the mobile phone market, it would do so with content rather than hardware.
