Shandong’s energy dependence to continue

Shandong province is likely to continue to rely on imports of coal, oil and natural gas to meet its energy needs over the medium- to long-term, a new study by the provincial government shows. According to the Shandong Development and Reform Commission (SDRC) study, reported by China Business Net, Shandong’s coal output is expected to remain at current levels of around 150 million tons a year through to 2020. ...
