Shanghai to raise popularity of green electricity

In 2005, Shanghai was the first city in China to introduce an international green electricity mechanism with the aim of relieving the bottlenecks in the development of green electricity. However, progress so far shows that the mechanism, which requires users to purchase electricity at high prices, is in need of adjustments in order to achieve its goal.
