Silk Prices Racing Upward
Over the course of one year, the price of raw silk has jumped from 16,000 yuan to 35,000 yuan per ton. In the past three months alone, the price has risen from 20,000 yuan at the end of 2005 to upwards of 30,000 yuan coming into March.
