Qingdao
CATV announced that it had partnered with SMG's Shanghai Interactive
Television (SiTV) to provide SiTV content through Qingdao CATV's
digital model, China Business News
reports. Qingdao CATV, with more than 600,000 digital subscribers, is
China's largest digital cable TV provider. SiTV is the country's
largest provider of digital pay-TV content. This deal will accelerate
the growth of Qingdao CATV by providing it with specialized content.
China
currently has 2 million subscribers to pay-TV channels.
