Snow forces Zhuzhou Smelter to cut zinc production
Zhuzhou Smelter Group, China’s largest zinc smelter, said Monday that a power shortage triggered by exceptionally heavy snow had forced it to cut production, the Shanghai Business Journal reported. Wang Jianjun, managing director of the Hunan province-based smelter’s trading department said the area's worst snowstorm in 50 years had caused a power shortage forcing it to curb production since mid-January.
